Dr. Stef Kegler was born in Saskatchewan and raised in Langley. She attended the University of Ottawa where she earned her bachelor of health sciences with honours and followed this up spending a year at the university of Lund in Sweden gaining a Masters degree. Growing up Dr. Kegler was very active and has been playing hockey since the age of three.
Although hockey was her first love, she participated in a wide variety of sports that included basketball, volleyball, rugby and rowing. Her athletic career culminated with an opportunity to play on the varsity women’s hockey and rugby teams at the University of Ottawa. During her playing days, Dr. Stef endured the many aches and pains associated with playing sports and experienced first hand the benefits of chiropractic. This fostered a keen interest in the profession and ultimately led her to pursuing her Doctor of Chiropractic degree at the Canadian Memorial Chiropractic College.
During her years at school, Dr. Stef learned that musculoskeletal dysfunction, poor biomechanics and the associated pains are not limited to athletes and can be experienced by anyone in all facets of life. She believes in an evidence-informed approach to treatment and is committed to providing the highest standard of care to each individual. She is certified in Active Release Technique®, the gold standard in soft tissue management. She has also pursued additional training in manual therapy and instrument assisted techniques, sport-specific rehabilitation, and concussion management.
After years away from the beautiful Vancouver area, Dr. Stef is happy to return home to the ocean, mountains and rain. When not working, you will find her helping out with local hockey teams, cycling, or hiking.Book an Appointment with Dr. Stef!
